Last Update: 11/25/2009 7:44 pm
NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged two men in connection with a police chase that ended in a crash that sent two Northville Township police officers to the hospital.

Officers say Joshua Milligan and James Williams were in a stolen car that led police on a wild chase that ended when two police cruisers crashed on Haggerty Road, south of Eight Mile. Both Officer Daniel Jones and Officer Richard Babb were hurt in the crash. Jones is in good condition, Babb is in serious condition.

Milligan has been charged with unlawful driving away in a motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, and receiving and concealing stolen property. Williams has been charged with second degree fleeing a police officer and operating with a suspended license causing serious injury. The Ypsilanti men have also been charged with delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Prosecutor Worthy says, "This case evidences the risks and dangers that our law enforcement officers face minute to minute. Our thoughts and prayers remain with both the officers as we begin to bring these two defendants to justice."
