Detroit police are investigating after they say one man was beaten to death on Detroit's southwest side Tuesday night.
Witnesses stopped police after seeing two men fighting in a parking lot at the Vernor Food Center around 11 p.m. near Vernor and Cabot.
One of the men was reportedly armed with a metal pipe and police say when they arrived, he was still beating the victim.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the suspect was arrested.
A witness says the suspect called the victim "Satan" before leaving the area and later returning to attack him. He said the victim also only had one arm, making it more difficult to defend himself.
