Man robs bank in Sterling Heights wearing shirt that reads: 'Make Way for the Bad Guy'

(WXYZ) - The Sterling Heights Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a bank robbery suspect.

Police say a man walked into TCF Bank in Sterling Heights on August 30 and handed the teller a note which read: "This is a robbery give me all your loose bills."

The teller gave the man $1,000, including bait money, according to police. Police say the suspect then threw the bait money back at the teller, walked out and escaped in a silver-colored SUV.

Surveillance photos were released showing the subject wearing a green baseball cap with the word "lucky" and a grey t-shirt "Make Way for the Bad Guy."
