The U.S. Marshals need your help to find a man accused of sex trafficking and kidnapping young women and they believe he may have more victims trapped right now.
It's hard to believe sex trafficking is happening in our own community but the Marshals say Walter Wilson is responsible for this horrific crime right here in Metro Detroit.
“To be held against your will, to be held captive and forced for days and days and days to perform these sex acts for anybody who’s willing to pay the money, it’s just disgusting,” Deputy U.S. Marshal Aaron Garcia said.
It’s an unimaginable fate as Garcia describes what he says Wilson does while trafficking young female victims.
Wilson is known as ‘Boon.’ He’s wanted for kidnapping a woman at the corner of Fort and Outer Drive.
“Once the victim gets abducted and held against her will the victim is taken to several houses to be used as a sex slave,” Garcia said
She tells police she’s shot up with heroin several times a day as she fails several times to escape.
“Getting fed with heroin, staying high the whole time and performing these sex acts,” Garcia said. “They post her information on backpage or these other websites and customers start coming.”
The victim does escapes to a 7-eleven in Lincoln Park. She calls 911 and tells police she’s not alone, that there are other girls locked up in a basement being drugged and trafficked. She also leads police to a woman she says is helping boon do it all, forcing the girls to get dressed and perform sex acts.
Garcia says they arrested that woman last month.
“The person who was arrested initially, has a tattoo of his nickname Boon on her chest – she didn’t give one thing up- nothing,” he said. “He has a stronghold on these girls and we need the viewers help.”
That’s where you come in, with law enforcement hitting a dead end- they’re looking for anything that could led them to Boon and the other girls who may be trapped and being trafficked right now.
Wilson is known for his hazel eyes and was last seen driving a dark Chrysler 300.
“The community can play a large role in this too, we can’t support this, we have to stand up,” Garcia said. “When you’re supporting this prostitution and you’re going online looking for prostitutes know that this could be at the other end of this.”
Walter Lee Wilson is 59 years old. He's 6’3”, 225 pounds and there is a reward for information on where he may be.
