Mayor Duggan wants the Detroit Education Commission to be included in the legislation that's being discussed in Lansing.

Those for the DEC gathered Tuesday morning  to discuss its importance. The DEC would rate schools by letter grades based on various educational factors. The commission would also have control over the openings of schools in the city.
