Metro Detroit couple owns two cats in the Guinness Book of World Records

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) - The metro Detroit family that owns a cat with the world's longest tail also owns a cat that is the world's tallest.

William Powers says Cygnus is the Guinness World Record holder for longest tail at 17 1/2 inches long.

His housemate, Arcturus, is 20 inches tall and has the world record for tallest domestic cat. The crazy thing is both are still growing!

"These two breeds of cats grow until about age three or five, depending on the cat. So where Archturus and Cygnus are going be, by the time, they're full grown, I couldn't even tell you," Powers said.

Both cats are two years old right now.

He attributes their growth to a spcial food he gave them as kittens.
