Metro Detroit middle school student arrested for Snapchat threat

A middle school student in Center Line was arrested after posting a threat to the school on Snapchat.

According to Wolfe Middle School, they were made aware of a potential threat to the school on Wednesday night and contacted police.

The Center Line Police Department began investigating and eventually arrested the student. They also discovered a weapon posted in the photo was actually a paintball gun.

"We are thankful to say there is no threat to the middle school and we will be open tomorrow," the school said on a Facebook post. "Thank you to all of the parents and students who have brought this to our attention."
