A metro Detroit woman says she lost everything, including the wedding dress for her upcoming wedding, in a fire caused by the storms on Thursday night.
Hope Kaminski says as she was running out of her house in Wayne, nothing crossed her mind but getting out safely. In fact, she may have risked her life saving the family dog who hid in a room.
She said she and her fiance had to run after the transformer exploded and sent a fireball inside their home.
Hope is scheduled to get married on Saturday, Aug. 19 and had saved up for the dress and bought it months ago.
The family has started a GoFundMe to get the funds for the wedding dress back.
