MHS workers to sleep in dog houses to raise awareness of dangers of keeping pets out in the cold

(WXYZ) - You could say the Michigan Humane Society is in the dog house.

But, it's all for a good cause.

The MHS Cruelty Investigation and Rescue Department is pledging to spend the night in dog houses to raise awareness of the dangers of keeping pets outdoors in extreme temperatures.

The team will set up camp in the dog park at the MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care from 10 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
