(WXYZ) - The dognapping of "Pugsy" the pug in Detroit was captured on surveillance video.
Now, the 7-year-old Pugsy's kidnapping has the attention of people all across metro Detroit and Detroit Police say are going all out to find the dog.
"We feel for the dog owner in this case," says Sgt. Michael Woody.
The Michigan Humane Society is also getting involved, offering $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the case. Owner Eric Ingram says, "He's a part of my family... like a child... how would you feel if someone stole your child?"
Pugsy was taken a couple weeks ago by someone driving a black Chevy pickup near the 6100 block on Minock.
Police are hopeful someone will recognize the truck or know where Pugsy is and do the right thing.
