SALEM TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Michigan State Police have released a sketch of a suspect in connection with an attempted abduction of 10-year-old boy in Salem Township.
Troopers from the Brighton Post are investigating the case and say the attempted abduction reportedly took place near the intersection of 6 Mile Road and Currie Road in Washtenaw County.
According to the child, the suspect tried to lure him into his vehicle with candy.
The boy was able to get a good description of the suspect and his vehicle. There was no plate on the suspect's truck.
A State police Forensic artist met with the child to create a sketch of the suspect.
The suspect is being described as a white male between 25-35 years old. He has black short hair and a goatee. He has tattoos on both arms from the elbow down and has number tattoos on his fingers on the right hand. The child recalls the numbers 1, 2 and 4.
The suspect was wearing an AC/DC shirt with sleeves pulled up to the elbows. His vehicle is described as a black standard cab pickup truck with tinted side and rear windows. There is red lettering on the driver's side rear quarter panel, behind the rear wheel.
There were wood planks in the back of the truck.
