(WXYZ) - While asking students to pay more in annual tuition, Michigan State University officials have spent a small fortune on travel, hotels, entertainment and meals.
A 7 Action News investigation reveals the lavish overseas trips that some MSU trustees weren't eager to defend. Often, the trustees weren't traveling alone: they brought their spouses or friends along for the costly trips and billed the cash-strapped university.
From $1,300 hotels in Germany to $3,000 for limousines in Frankfurt and Paris, trustees weren't pinching pennies while students cut back on their expenses. See our full investigation Saturday on 7 Action News at 7pm, right after Michigan and Michigan State square off.
