(WXYZ) - April Millsap's parents and grandparents hugged outside an Armada funeral home Thursday, as they prepared for her visitation.
April's boyfriend was also present with his mother.
"Everybody is just hanging in there...the best we can. It's very hard when you have a son who is having heartbreak and it's in the spotlight. As a mom, you don't think it's going to be like this," said the mother of April Millsap's boyfriend, Monique Albertson.
April's funeral will be held at 11 am Friday at St. Mary Mystical Rose Church, 24040 Armada Ridge Road in Armada.
Meanwhile, law enforcement continues their investigation. They said early on they are suspicious of anyone who has a preoccupation with this case.
One man showed up at the visitation today asking to be allowed inside. Officers demanded to see his identification. The man later told us he is a former FBI agent who just wanted to pay his respects.
7 Action News has also learned that the two men arrested in a raid at a house outside Armada on Wednesday haven’t said much to cops. They are expected to be arraigned Friday on drug charges after the FBI and state police found pot in the house.
Their identities and role-- if any-- in the Millsap case are not being revealed. Police executed the search warrant in relation to the girl’s murder. State records show a registered sex offender lives at the home.
Millsap's body was found July 24 by joggers who alerted police around 8:30 p.m. She was found in a wooded area after her dog led the joggers to her body.
She was taking her dog for a walk and never returned home, according to police.
A fund has been set up at Fifth Third Bank in April's name for her family. People can also donate on her family's GoFundMe page HERE.
