(WXYZ) - The Northville Public Schools superintendent says that one case of MRSA, or Methicillin- Resistant Staphylococcus aureus, was reported at Northville High School.
A doctor confirmed the student's diagnosis and a parent notified the district.
We're told this is separate from a case reported August 30 involving someone in the athletic program.
We're told athletic areas are being sanitized as a precaution.
MRSA is a staph infection that is resistant to some kinds of antibiotics.
