Michigan State Police conducting DNA drive in hopes of closing cold cases

(WXYZ) - If you have a missing loved ones you'll want to pay close attention to this story.

Michigan State Police are conducting a DNA drive in hopes of identifying dozens of remains found throughout the state.

They're hoping anyone with a missing loved one will go to the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office and provide a DNA sample along with any other information about their missing loved one.

That information will only be used in the unidentified persons database and used to bring closure to families; maybe even yours.

The samples will be collected in a simple and pain free manner. A cotton swab is rubbed inside your mouth.

It only takes seconds. Samples will be collected until 6 pm. on Tuesday June 25 th.
