The home and office of Judge Theresa Brennan were searched yesterday by investigators with the Michigan State Police.

Questions surrounding her actions on the bench and accusations of perjury are now clearly reaching the state level.

It comes after our series of reports exposing her fitness for the court.

It started with an extramarital affair with the lead investigator on a homicide case she presided over. The suspect was sent to prison and now filing a motion for a new trial.

He spoke exclusively with us last month.

"I did not commit the crime," said Jerome Kowalski.

The fairness of that trial now clouded.

And that perjury accusation stems from how we learned of the affair. Depositions unsealed in her recent divorce proceedings and whether or not she was honest in disclosing the timeline of her relationship with that cop.

What was seized by investigators? They aren't saying, but computers and other items were taken. This is in addition to an investigation by the judicial tenure commission.

The 7 Investigators also obtained an administrative order from the chief judge which recently barred Judge Brennan from overseeing certain cases.
