MSP Trooper shot in Saginaw, gunman killed

SAGINAW, Mich. (WXYZ) - A Michigan State Police trooper is recovering after being shot during a traffic stop in Saginaw.

Troopers had pulled over a man near Fulton and Bagley around 2:00 a.m.

We're told the man then got out of his car and started shooting.

Troopers returned fire and killed the gunman.

One of the troopers was hit and taken to the hospital.

He's listed in stable condition.

Police are still investigating.
