(WXYZ) - 7 Action News has learned a victim in the deadly Las Vegas strip attack Thursday was a Michigan native.
Michael Boldon was driving the taxi that burst into flames after a Maserati crashed into it on the strip Thursday. The chaos started after a Range Rover opened fire on the Maserati, causing it to run a red light and hit the cab.
Three people died in total.
Michael Boldon's 63rd birthday was next month says his brother, Carl. He grew up in Detroit and attended Southwestern High School.
Boldon lived in Lansing for several years and worked as a car salesman before moving to Las Vegas a year ago to seek better employment as a cab driver.
Boldon's brother says he really enjoyed driving the taxi and listening to passenger's stories from around the world.
