(WXYZ) - If you or someone you know is preparing to walk down the aisle, there's a new app creating a lot of buzz that helps capture your precious wedding moments.
WedPics lets brides collect all of their guests photos and videos in one place—creating a virtual scrapbook of your special day.
One of the goals is to prevent couples from having to stress out chasing down those wedding photos after the event.
Brides-to-be just create an album on the free app. Then, they let their guests know about the album by sending generated Facebook invites or WedPics cards.
Each album has its own wedding ID—so when a guest signs in, all they have to do is enter that ID and they'll be able to see and share photos and videos of the whole wedding process--from engagement parties to the reception.
CEO and Cofounder of WedPics Justin Miller tells me since the app launched in August of last year, they've had more than 500 thousand guests using the app—with more than one million photos and videos uploaded every month.
The app is available for iOS and Android devices. And if users don't have a smartphone, they can also upload pictures to your album on
WedPics says they will store your wedding content forever. For more information, check out their website:
