(WXYZ) - Three Japanese automakers are issuing a recall for more than two-million vehicles because of identical air bag problems.
Toyota, Honda and Nissan say the air bag inflator on the passenger side may burst cause plastic pieces to fly.
Toyota is recalling 1.7 million vehicles globally with 580,000 in North America. Affected models include the Corolla, Tundra and Lexus SC produced between November 2000 and March 2004.
Honda is recalling 1.1 million vehicles worldwide with about 680,000 in North America. The models include the Civic and Odyssey.
