While metro Detroit has seen some snowflakes spread out through the area on Tuesday, the northern Lower Peninsula could ses some accumulation by the middle of the week.
According to the National Weather Service in Gaylord, the center of northern lower Michigan could get 3-4 inches of additional snow through Tuesday.
Lake effect rain and snow will continue across the area, according to the NWS, with areas around Cadillac gettting 2-3 additional inches.
Parts of the mid upper peninsula could also see four inches or more of snow.
