Opening statements are expected to begin today in the trial of a man charged in the death of a Michigan State trooper.

Charles Warren is charged with reckless driving causing death and failure to stop at the scene of an accident causing death.

Prosecutors say the 71-year-old was hauling a trailer when he collided with Trooper Chad Wolf on his motorcycle and dragged him nearly four miles.

It happened almost two years ago in Oakland County's Springfield Township.

At that time, Warren claimed he felt a bump, but did not know that he had hit anyone.
