May and June are two of the biggest celebration months of the year!  From high school prom to graduation ceremonies, there will be no lack of joyful parties to reward years of hard work.  It’s a very special and memorable time for new graduates, their loved ones, and friends.

But let us offer a little friendly advice to all.  As you celebrate this spring, remember these two words: PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!  Life is full of choices. The ones you make going forward will directly affect your life for years to come.  Good decisions can produce great results.  Bad decisions can hurt you now and in the future.

Consider this:  Motor vehicle crashes are higher among 16 - 19-year-olds than any other age group.  That’s followed closely by 21 – 25 year-olds. Nationally, forty percent of alcohol-related fatal car crashes involve teens.

People of all ages need to act responsibly. Adults can wield great influence by being good role models.  Don’t let underage teens drink alcohol with your knowledge and make sure they know the potential consequences if they do!

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY: Two powerful words that can drive your decisions and your future in a positive direction.
