"Never envy the wicked, some may fade away like grass and disappear. Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others, then you will live," said Thomas Kelly.
The tales the Detroit resident can tell about what they have seen.
"I was on the Tinian when that plane went off to bomb Hiroshima, over there" Kelly said.
The former Army Aviation Engineer said he witnessed one of the most memorable moments of World War II and American History.
You may recall seeing Mr. Kelly riding on this float during this year's Veterans Day Parade. At 103-years-old, what he recalls could gather historians to his feet or journalists to his living room.
"Now you know there wasn't no cars back in 1913. They rode horses but that was on a Sunday going to church the horse and the buggy.
Thomas Kelly has 3 children, 11 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Kelly is living out his long time passion to sing A capella. He was with a group in 1926 and now.
Kelly is the oldest member of his group called "The Masters of Harmony," spreading the Lord's message through song on Sundays at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Dequindre in Detroit.
"One of the most important thing is to serve the Lord - do his will."

"It's a big blessing, really, don't have to get any history books or knowledge books, cause i got history right there. We in a time where you see history repeating itself. History do repeat. 'Yesterday is never gone. Today is always here and tomorrow may never comes.' That's life," said Kelly.
