CLEVELAND (WXYZ) - The Coast Guard rescued a 31-year-old man who was stranded in his kayak 30 miles offhshore in Lake Michigan Monday morning.
This happened after the man activiated his personal locater beacon.
Just after 8:30 this morning, they received the call about the distress signal sent out.
After contacting family, they learned the man was planning to kayak from Milwaukee to Muskegon Sunday, but didn't know if he arrived.
About an hour later, aircrew from the Air Facility Muskegon arrived and located the man waving his hands for help.
He was rescued and taken to the air facility. He suffered extreme seasickness and did asy he set off the alarm.
