Police are asking for your help to identify a suspect in a bank robbery (shown in the photo above).

Officers responded to an incident at the Comerica Bank, located inside a Kroger in Commerce Township.

It happened at the 47000 block of Pontiac Trail.

Police say the bank teller was preparing to open for the day. She placed a large amount of money on the counter.

The suspect started talking to the teller and diverted her attention away from the money.

He grabbed the cash and ran away.

No injuries were reported.

When deputies arrived, they were unable to find the suspect. They informed the Detroit FBI Office of the incident.

Police have obtained several copies of surveillance tapes and plan to continue the investigation.

We're told the suspect is male, between 25 and 35 years old. He's about 5'8" to 5'10" tall. The photo shows him wearing a University of Michigan shirt and carrying a white cane.

If you know anything about this case, you're urged to call Crime Stoppers at (800) Speak Up. You can remain anonymous.
