Police search lake for missing Warren woman

(WXYZ) - Divers searched Lake Wilson in northern Michigan on Friday for clues in the disappearance of a Warren woman.

Kim DeJohn was last seen on May 14. Her sister reported her missing 2 weeks later.

Her husband, Loyd, is a person of interest in the case that is now being called a homicide investigation.

On Tuesday, police searched the couple's Warren home and removed evidence. They say there are signs that in that house that someone tried to cover up a crime there.

According to police, Loyd DeJohn told them he had a fight with Kim and claimed she left the house on her own after the altercation.

He is behind bars on an aggravated assault charge that stems from the fight police say he had with Kim on the day she disappeared.

Investigators say divers searched Lake Wilson because cadaver dogs got some positive hits there.

After searching for several hours on Friday, police said the divers did not find anything.

They say Loyd DeJohn's grandmother owns property near that lake.

They plan to search nearby Lake Nettie on Saturday morning.
