A different perspective on the Mackinac Policy Conference: 'Visual mapping' from Julie Stuart

MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. (WXYZ) - Meet Julie Stuart. She calls herself a "graphic facilitator" and she could be seen working during each of the sessions at this year's Mackinac Policy Conference.

Stuart works on large paper boards - about 4 feet tall and eight feet wide. She breaks down the themes of each conference speaker using a process she calls "visual mapping."

Julie lives in Atlanta and grew up in Chicago. This was her second year on Mackinac Island for the annual conference that's put on by the Detroit Regional Chamber.

She says some topics are better than others for her to break down visually.

Stuart works with companies and conferences throughout the country. You can learn more about what she does on her website:  http://www.makingideasvisible.com/
