Spotlight: Getting Ready for the 50th Anniversary of MLK's March in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) - On Sunday, June 16th, Spotlight on the News will get viewers ready to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s historic 1963 civil rights march in Detroit. 

Twenty years ago, Detroit NAACP President Rev. Wendell Anthony and nationally respected journalist Tony Brown appeared on Spotlight to talk about the 30th anniversary.  They will reunite once again!  Join me for this historic Spotlight discussion.

Also, Detroit authors Leslie Gordon and William Middlebrooks introduce us to their new book celebrating extraordinary African American fathers. 

Now in its 48th season, Spotlight on the News is Michigan's longest running weekly news and public affairs program.
