(WXYZ) - A spokesperson for St. John River District Hospital in East China Township says a portion of a non-patient area of the hospital was evacuated after a potential irritant was released through a heating duct.
People in that section of the hospital were moved to another area inside the hospital.
A malfunctioning boiler may be to blame for the incident.
A HAZMAT team was called in to help with cleanup.
No injuries have been reported.
