(WXYZ) - It was not the way drivers wanted to start their Friday. Several drivers along I-94 near Chene were stopped in their tracks after hitting a pothole during the morning commute.
Eddie Dupont knew right away that something was wrong.
"Just a big thud. The light went on saying you have no air in your tire," he says.
Justin Raye works for EVR towing. He says he has been working 12 to 14 hour days, 6 days a week during this rough pothole season.
"It's been pretty busy," he says.
Eddie Dupont missed work and had to wait two hours before getting help from a tow truck.
MDOT's courtesy van also responded to the problem. A spokesperson tells 7 Action News its courtesy van dealt with anywhere from 7 to 10 stranded drivers.
