The Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame will announce its class of 2017 inductees today.
Among the artists nominated are New Edition, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Patti LaBelle and Detroit native Mitch Ryder.
Non-artists being considered include the late TV host and entrepreneur Dick Clark, Motown founder -- and Detroit native -- Berry Gordy and late Detroit radio personality Martha Jean.
The 10 groups or people selected will be inducted into the Hall on June 11. The ceremony will be held at the Music Hall in Detroit.
Tickets will go on sale Wednesday.
