DETROIT (WXYZ) - A 10-year-old boy is crushed after his dog ran away from a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent at the Ambassador Bridge.
The Torres family was crossing the bridge from Canada to Detroit when their 5-month-old Jack Russell-Pug puppy got loose and ran away on December 21.
The puppy, named Ash, was in the care of U.S. Customs as the family's car was being routinely searched. During the search, the dog got loose from her leash and collar and she took off.
Despite searching for hours, the Torres family had no luck finding Ash and had to continue on to their final destination, Atlanta.
Manny Torres says his 10-year-old son is completely crushed now that his pet is missing.
