2 men arrested in connection with double-homicide in Detroit

(WXYZ) - Two men were arrested in connection with a double murder on Detroit's west side, according to police.

Detroit Police say Sherman Wagner, 31, and Stephen Boyd, 28, were taken into custody and then arraigned on December 1 on two counts of homicide--1st degree premeditated murder, two counts of homicide felony murder, two counts of unlawful imprisonment, one count of carjacking and one count of robbery armed.

On October 26, two men were discovered shot to death in the 4400 block of Lawton, according to police.

The hearings for Wagner and Boyd are scheduled for December 11 at 1:30 p.m.

"Whenever a life is taken due to the violent acts of another, we become dogmatic in gathering the evidence to track down these individuals," stated Interim Chief Chester L. Logan. "As a result of the teamwork between our investigators and citizens, these suspects were identified, pursued, and apprehended. "
