DETROIT (WXYZ) - Thanks to one caring stranger, a 2-year-old boy who wandered away from home is now safe with his family.
7 Action News was there when the little boy got out of the police cruiser and walked back into his house in Detroit.
Sources say he turned up several blocks away from his home near Berkshire and Warren.
When he left his house, the toddler's father was reportedly sleeping and his older sibling wasn't around.
A caring person found the boy and kept him warm until police arrived.
Child Protective Services was called but there is no word yet if they will become involved.
