SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) -  

Diana Lewis will anchor her final newscasts tonight on 7 Action News. After a career that has spanned more than four decades in broadcasting, she will retire from WXYZ-TV, Channel 7.

Lewis, one of the most recognized and respected faces on Detroit television, has been an anchor on 7 Action News for more than 35 years.

She will co-anchor 7 Action News at 5:00 p.m. with JoAnne Purtan. At 5:30, Diana will be joined at the anchor desk by Glenda Lewis, her daughter. The pair will anchor 7 Action News until 6:00 p.m. when Diana leads that newscast with Stephen Clark.
