The 52nd annual Cinco de Mayo Parade is happening once again on Sunday in southwest Detroit.

Started as a way to commemorate the cause of freedom and democracy in the America West during the Civil Way  period, Cinco de Mayo has now developed into a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.

One of the biggest celebrations in our area is the Cinco de Mayo Parade and Celebration in Clark Park. The parade kicks everything off at noon and progresses from W. Vernor and Woodmere to W. Vernor and Scotten, where the celebration takes place.
