CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Man shoots at Detroit gas station clerk five times

Police are searching for him and one other suspect

Detroit (WXYZ) - A surveillance camera captured an armed robber firing five shots at a Detroit gas station clerk.

Fortunately, the bulletproof glass and steel wall protected the clerk. One bullet remains lodged now in the glass. 

It happened at the Mobil Gas Station at Rosa Parks and I-75 around 3:30 Tuesday morning.

The gas station employees say it is the first time the station has been targeted by armed robbers.

In the video you can see a suspicious man enter the gas station and walk around.

Shortly thereafter, a man with a gun comes in and and tries to rob the place. He tries to shoot his way into the protected are where the clerk works.

As the clerk calls 9-1-1, the suspicious man yells at her to open the door for the man with the gun. He is later seen on tape walking out of the business and following the path of the gunman. 

Police are looking for both men seen on surveillance tape. They should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see them you are asked to call 911.
