DETROIT (WXYZ) - Dozens of people on Detroit's southwest side woke up to flooded apartments Thursday morning.
Around 2 a.m. the Grand Lofts Building on West Grand Boulevard near Michigan Avenue flooded. Residents say it started on the third floor causing ceiling damage and soaking everything in its path.
One woman was forced to use an umbrella inside the apartments to stay dry.
Hallways resemble streams and rain was falling from the ceiling.
The source of the leak is unknown; it could be everything from a frozen pipe that burst to a leak.
Dozens of residents were forced to find somewhere else to stay.
