DETROIT (WXYZ) - Bankruptcy Judge Steven Rhodes has issued an order for the start of Detroit's Landmark Bankruptcy Trial for Confirmation on the Plan of Adjustment.
The trial is now set to start August 21, a week later than earlier set.
Wall Street bond holder Syncora, who is objecting to the Plan of Adjustment, asked for a delay because the city had been slow providing documents needed to prepare for the trial.
This also means the Bankruptcy process is likely to run past the end of September when Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr's term will expire.
Will that be extended? Or will control of the city be turned back over to the Mayor and City Council?
