DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit's Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr is set to meet with Detroit's union employees and retiree groups Thursday.
He will reportedly ask them to accept changes to their pension and health care in an effort to help Detroit avoid bankruptcy.
Two sessions are scheduled Thursday. The first is for non-first responders. Police, fire and EMS are scheduled for the afternoon session.
The agenda will include talk of funding for the city's pension and a shift from city-provided health care for retirees to Medicare or other Affordable Care Act options.
