Mayor Dave Bing asked everyone to honor the first responders who ran toward the danger and lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee said we should be reminded at this time that we are blessed with freedom, and to remember the solidarity America felt after the horrific terrorist attacks.
