DETROIT (WXYZ) - It's a reunion more than three decades in the making- a Detroit man has his Corvette back, 33 years after it was stolen.

George Talley got to pull the silk cover off at General Motors headquarters - revealing his ride was back in town.

7 Action News first broke the story about the 1979 Corvette turning up in Mississippi, still in pretty good condition.

After watching our story, GM executives decided to help bring the car back.

This morning, the car was returned to its rightful owner.

After the unveiling, gm even brought the car back to George’s own garage.
