Detroit Police officer Jaime Vajen is facing "super drunk" driving charges after she was arrested in Monroe County two months ago.
She is formally charged with operating while intoxicated with a BAC .17 or higher. It is a misdemeanor.
Director of Media Relations for Detroit Police Michael Woody tells us, "this is something we will not tolerate. We expect better from our officers."
Sources tell us she was stopped in the middle of the road on December 22, when a Michigan State Police post commander noticed her car near Telegraph and Newport in Carleton.
We're told two investigations are now underway, one by Detroit Police, another by Michigan State Police.
Meanwhile, Vajen is still on the job, working for now.
We're told she could face serious disciplinary actions or possibly be fired from her position, after this goes through the court system.
She's back in court for her official arraignment on March 6.

Ms. Vajen is taking these allegations very seriously, and will be exploring all of her legal options.
