Detroit Police search for suspects in McDonald's, Burger King burglaries

DETROIT (WXYZ-TV) - Detroit Police are searching for two real "Hamburglars" who targeted fast food joints on Christmas.

Investigators say the men hit two McDonald's and one Burger King on Wednesday morning.

The men first targeted a McDonald's in the 14000 block of Gratiot around 6:30 a.m. Investigators don't believe the men got anything from there.

They then moved to the Burger King in the 13000 block of West McNichols around 9:10 a.m. Investigators say the men pried open a safe and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects then went to the McDonald's in the 14000 block of West Seven Mile. They pried open a safe, but it was empty.

Investigators released surveillance video images of the two men, hoping somebody will call police with additional information. You can see the images by clicking on the viewer at the top of your screen.
