DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit Public Schools is putting out the help wanted sign, looking to fill 100 open teaching positions in the district.
The DPS Career Fair runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School, located at 3200 Lafayette.
The district is looking to fill a variety of teaching positions, but is focusing on music and art teachers. It's part of the district's plan to bring back music and art programs to all DPS elementary and middle schools.
DPS is also accepting applications for the following teaching positions:
- English/English Language Arts
- Food Management
- Homeroom Teacher
- Special Education
- Substitute Teacher
- Vocal and Instrumental Music
- World Languages
