DETROIT (AP) - The Detroit Public Schools will celebrate technology during the month of April and offer parents free, weekly computer training workshops.
Parents must register by April 5 for the Wednesday workshops which begin April 10.
Parents will be taught basic computer skills and learn how to use programs to become engaged with their children's academic progress from home.
The district will provide shuttles from Parent Resource Centers to the east side and west side workshop sites.
A two-day technology fair is scheduled April 29-30 at the Randolph Career & Technical Center. The Wayne County prosecutor's office will discuss cyber safety during the fair.
