Detroit is the second worst city in the United States to raise a family, according to a new study from WalletHub

The study took into account 41 key metrics in the 150-most populated United States cities. Detroit ranks 149th out of 150 with Birmingham, Ala. at No. 150.

The city ranks last in the metric of highest percentage of families living below poverty level, 149th in highest divorce rate, 142nd in highest violent crime rate per capita and 146th in lowest median family salary.

On the opposite side, the city of Detroit ranks third for the most playgrounds per capita.

The only other city in Michigan on the list is Grand Rapids which ranks 68th.

The top 10 cities are Overland Park, Kan., Madison, Wis., Plano, Texas, Seattle, Minneapolis, Virginia Beach, Va., Sioux Falls, S.D., Irvine, Calif., and Lincoln, Neb.
