DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit is gearing up to protect the city from arsonists during this year's Angels' Night.
The three day initiative runs from Oct. 29 to Oct. 31.
Fire and police will increase patrols and staffing.
A city-wide curfew will also be in place from 6:00a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Minors who violate the rules will be ticketed and detained until a guardian can pick them up.
Volunteers are critical to the program's success.
This year, there are four ways to be a part of Angels' Night. You can join the Watch Your Block Patrol Program, Adopt-A-House program, Porch Light Program, or Eyes and Ears Program.
To volunteer, visit the city's website or call 313-224-4415.
