DETROIT (WXYZ) - Residents have lost everything in a devastating apartment complex fire on Detroit's west side.
The fire broke out at Jason Manor apartments Wednesday morning. Some victims were forced to jump to safety.
The victims are in desperate need of help at this time. St. Vincent de Paul and the Red Cross are working together to meet with victims and provide clothing and other necessities.
Red Cross says at one time they had about 50 displaced residents gathered at a nearby church. Currently, there are about 17 residents still there. We're told they will be take to a local recreation center where they can stay for several days if needed.
A fund has been set up to help cover short-term and long-term costs.
